Thirty-seven inch tires are one of the most requested upgrades on the Bronco. Here is what it takes to fit them.
Lift and offset
Shops report that 37 inch tires fit cleanly on a Bronco with a lift of about 2.5 to 3.5 inches and the right wheel offset. Offset is as important as lift, because it decides where the tire sits in the wheel well.
A 37 inch Bozard Built Bronco
A recent Bozard Built Bronco Big Bend was listed with a ReadyLift 4 inch SST lift kit with HD ball joints, Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x12.50R17 tires, black KG1 Lifter 17x9 wheels at 0 mm offset, and speedometer and module calibration. The same trim with a ReadyLift 2 inch SST lift ran 35x12.50R17 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires on 17x9 wheels at 1 mm offset.
Other things to plan for
- Wheels with the 6x139.7 bolt pattern used on Broncos
- Speedometer recalibration, because taller tires make it read low
- An alignment after the install
- How much the extra tire weight and size change ride and fuel use
