Custom wheels and tires

Wheels and tires decide how a build looks and whether it fits. This page covers what to check before you choose them, and how Bozard Built builds the wheel, tire and lift as one package.

What decides whether a wheel fits

  • Bolt pattern: F-150s use 6x135 and Broncos use 6x139.7, according to shops that fit them. Heavy-duty Super Duty trucks use a different, heavier-duty pattern.
  • Offset and backspacing: these set how far the wheel and tire sit in the wheel well, and decide whether the tire rubs
  • Width and diameter: they have to suit the tire and the lift

Choosing a tire size

Common lifted setups use tires in the 33 to 37 inch range, depending on the lift and the vehicle. Bigger tires need more lift or trimmed clearance, and they change how the speedometer reads, so it has to be recalibrated.

One package, not three purchases

Bozard Built picks the wheel, tire and lift together, installs them and backs the work with the Bozard warranty. The build can be rolled into your financing as one payment.

Questions

How do I know what offset I need?

It depends on the wheel width, tire size and lift. Sales picks the offset that keeps the tire clear and the stance right for your vehicle.

Do bigger tires hurt the speedometer?

A taller tire makes the speedometer read lower than your true speed unless it is recalibrated. Ask sales how this is handled on your build.

Can I buy wheels and tires without a lift?

Yes. Ask sales what fits your vehicle without a lift.
