This is the most common question about lifting a vehicle. The short answer is that a lift does not automatically cancel a factory warranty, but a problem caused by the modification may not be covered. This is general information, not legal advice.
How modifications affect coverage
Coverage tends to turn on what failed. A problem in a part the lift touches, such as suspension or driveline parts, is more likely to be questioned than an unrelated failure. Where the work was done and who stands behind it also matter.
What to ask before you buy
- Who backs the warranty on the lift and parts
- Whether the factory warranty on the rest of the vehicle is affected
- Where you can bring the vehicle for warranty work
- That the terms are in writing
The Bozard warranty
Bozard Built builds are backed by the Bozard warranty. Ask sales for the written terms that apply to the build you want.
